The Bedouins knew this and fiercely protected their best mares. Influencial breeders of the past knew this and filled their pastures with the best mares they could buy. Today, many people seem to put more emphsis on the stallions, but behind those top stallions you can be sure are top producing mares of the past.
We have attempted to follow advise given by successful fellow breeders and find mares of the best conformation from the bloodlines we wish to perpetuate.
